Armherst pheasant
Amherst crest and tip are really popular when it comes to salmon flies. There are really many uses for these feathers and their quality is top notch.
Crest is best known for its clear but slightly yellow feathers with an extremely fine structure that is used in a series of classic salmon flies.
The crest is often used as a tail or overhang, but some patterns use the feathers for the entire wing, for example, the Emerald Gem Tipperty Witchet.
The tip feathers on the other hand have a much wider application surface with their warm yellow or orange color and very well-defined matte black bands.
These feathers are used not only for classic salmon flies but also as part of more modern flies - ranging from salmon flies over dry flies and even coastal and saltwater flies.
