Choose the right spinner for your fishing
When choosing a spinner, you should especially consider:
- The size of the stream
- What species would you like to catch?
- Water level/color of the water
- The amount of light
Your choice offishing tackleis of course always dependent on many factors, and it is almost impossible to make a definitive list, but we have made many detailed guides for exampleSea trout fishing in the river.
All spinners in our range are there because they have a time when they will be the best bet for a catch-producing bait.
How to fish with a spinner
If you are going to fish in the river, be aware that most spinners are made to be fished upstream. If you fish them this way, you will increase your chances of catching fish.significantly.Typically, you should try to hit a retrieve speed that is slightly faster than the current in the stream. This does not apply in the evening, however, when you can typically fish faster to create a small bulge on the surface of the stream. Sea trout can't stand spinners at all when they are making noise on their stands.

What is a spinner?
It is an artificial bait designed to attract predatory fish. Aspinnerconsists of a vertical pendant with a rotating axis and a three-pronged hook. Its most important element is the rotating blade, which spins around the hook as it is pulled through the water. This rotation creates an enticing wiggling effect and small pressure waves that can both lure predatory fish into hunting or provoke them to bite. It is designed to mimic prey and can imitate either an injured or sick food fish or the trout's natural food. This combination of movement, sound and light makes the spinner a highly effective bait that is particularly popular with anglers.
