High-quality fly lines with good durability
Fly lines are an absolutely essential part of fly fishing. Without the right line, you are making fishing difficult for yourself. As fly fishermen for many years, we have chosen our range of fly lines based on what we ourselves prefer. When choosing a line, you should basically match the line class with the rod class. A fly line for dry fly fishing is often lighter than a line that is to be used on the coast. This is because they have completely different purposes.
If you are in doubt about what to choose, do not hesitate to write to us or give us a call. Here at our webshop, our fly lines all have one thing in common: they are some of the best on the market and of high quality. In addition to the good quality, extra focus has also been placed on long-term durability. When you shop at Nordic Anglers, you are guaranteed many future fishing trips with high-quality fly line. Find the fly line that meets your needs
Here at Nordic Anglers we have an incredible variety of fly lines. First of all, it is worth mentioning that you need to find a fly line that matches your fly rod. If you are in doubt about how to find this out, contact us – and we will help you on the right path.
In general, there are two different types of fly lines: WF liner (Weight forward) and shooting heads. Are you unsure which one to choose? A rule of thumb is that if you are a beginner, you should choose a WF line. It is through this fly line that you can learn the basic casting technique that will make you an experienced fly fisherman in the long run.
Once you have become an experienced angler, you can start switching to a shooting head, which can give you longer casts. When using shooting heads, it requires relatively good timing. You can call the shooting head a form of further development of the WF line. Here, a head/casting weight is connected to a thin shooting line. There is a distinction between one-handed and two-handed shooting heads. The model you should choose depends on whether you use a one-handed rod or a two-handed rod for your fly fishing.
Below we will present you with a handful of the many WF liners that you can find here in our range:
• Fly lines for the coast : Lines that are designed to cast very far – and many times. During the product development of these lines, focus has also been placed on making them extra durable. The lines are therefore designed to be able to handle the harsh and rugged weather that is often found along the coast.
• Tropical lines: These are designed to catch large tropical fish – some other than those we have in Danish waters. The lines are especially carefully selected with our many years of experience in tropical fishing. It is an absolute must-have for your future exotic travels with the fly rod as a partner.
• Short-lump lines: We have a wide selection of short-lump lines. These are perfect for fishing in smaller streams, put-and-take lakes and generally places where there isn't much room to make a long backcast.
• Pike lines: When fishing with a pike line, you typically need to use a relatively heavy fly. Therefore, it is natural that the line must have other requirements to be able to carry these heavier flies.
In our range you will of course also find many other fly lines than the ones above. Among other things, we also have some good quality, strong all-round lines that can be used for all kinds of fishing. This way you are free from having to change lines all the time.
