High-quality fishing flies are essential for your fishing experience

When it comes to fly fishing, the fishing flies you use are crucial to whether or not you catch a fish. It almost goes without saying, as the flies are designed to mimic the fish's natural food, and if the flies don't look like something the fish can recognize, they won't bite the hook.

However, a good fly should not only resemble the insects and prey that the fish naturally eat, it should also be durable. Cheap or poorly made flies can tend to break easily – after just a few casts or a single catch. That is why all of our flies that you will find on this page are made of strong materials so that they last longer.

We have also taken great care to ensure that our flies have a lifelike design in terms of shape, size, colors and structure and that they move realistically in the water. All our flies are also equipped with sharp and stronghooksthat does not easily bend or break under pressure.

The flies you find on this page are only what we would use for fly fishing ourselves. They increase the probability of catching and ensure you a better fishing experience, free from the frustration of bad gear.

Things to keep in mind when using flies for fishing

Fly fishing is a slightly different type of fishing compared to, for example, spinning or bottom fishing, which are generally more accessible and easier to learn than fly fishing. Fly fishing is nevertheless both fun and challenging, as it requires you to both observe and adapt to the behavior of the fish, and requires a bit more technique and finesse than other types of fishing.

When using fishing flies, whether they are mini flies, black flies, wet flies or something else entirely, it is important that you choose flies that imitate the food items that the fish you want to catch would normally eat. Fish respond best to something they can recognize. Some flies are better for specific species of fish, such as salmon and trout, and there may be a difference between flies designed for saltwater and flies designed for freshwater. This is also something you need to be aware of.
