We have a large selection of fly tying and tools
We have carefully selected fly tying tools from different manufacturers to cover all needs. When buying fly tying tools, there are three tools in particular where quality is crucial.
The thread holder, the fly tying scissors and the hackle clamp. These three are absolutely central to fly tying, and here you should not compromise on quality. Good tools help you with a better result when tying flies, and at the same time a much greater pleasure from the fly tying itself. The thread holder should preferably have a ceramic insert, so you are sure that there are no metal burrs, or that wear can occur that can cut the tying thread. For example, Tiemco's ceramic thread holder has incredibly good quality, with a completely even release of thread, and a wear-resistant ceramic insert.
Tiemco also offers the classic teardrop hackle clamp, which is great for holding all types of hackle. Another, but also absolutely superb alternative is one of the C&F Design hackle clamps. They are simply super cool, and never release the feather unintentionally.
In our opinion, the veterinary scissors are by far the best scissors at a reasonable price. The scissors are very sharp, and the cutting edge lasts well and for a long time.
With other fly tying tools such as a dubbing twister, whip finisher, dubbing needle, or a hairstacker, the quality is not as crucial for the practical use of the tool. That is why we have chosen to carry the best of the cheapest products on the market.
