The Whiting Chickabou Patch features "mini" Marabou feathers available in a variety of white and grizzly dyed colors. Ideal for crafting small woolly buggers, damsel fly nymphs, wet flies, and more, these soft, webby fibers lend excellent color and natural movement to your flies.

There are two primary ways to use Chickabou in fly tying:

• Tied at the rear of the fly, it creates an exceptionally lively tail, perfect for damsel patterns, dragonflies, woolly buggers, and small fry streamers.
• Tied sparsely or plentifully on the fly’s body, it produces an incredibly alive, breathing, and undulating motion with even the slightest water movement, making it lethal for leech patterns and fish imitations.

Additional sparse applications include use in throats on nymphs and pectoral fins on sculpin flies, or anywhere that benefits from enhanced movement and lifelike appearance. Whiting Farms’ Chickabou truly adds the most natural and buggy movement to your flies.
