Born from the performance of our acclaimed THERMO big game bluewater fly reel, the Sage ENFORCER has been updated and fine-tuned to meet the saltwater angler’s demands for power, reliability and durability on the flats. With maximum performance in mind, the ENFORCER delivers everything the flats angler needs in a fly reel – whether it’s taming explosive runs from double-digit bonefish or putting the brakes on a freight train of triple-digit tarpon. In short: the ultimate saltwater fly reel for flats and demanding fly fishing.

But flats battles are a combination of finesse and chaos, so we’ve reinforced the O-rings and drag plates for increased durability, consistency and reliability. Maximum drag is up 50% over the ENFORCER’s predecessor, the SPECTRUM MAX. That’s 8 pounds of drag on the 7/8 arbor, 15 pounds on the 9/10 arbor and 17 pounds on the 11/12 arbor. For saltwater anglers who fish with heavy leads and don’t want to let the fish run free all the time – or who value their fingers and therefore want to avoid hand-braking a fast-spinning reel – the increased drag allows you to get the most out of your reel without putting your knuckles on the line.

Since the first angler stepped onto the flats with a fly rod, it’s been a well-known fact that reels take a beating in this environment. Sand, wind and salt love nothing more than to find their way into a saltwater reel. The ENFORCER is more robust than any of our other saltwater flats reels, with larger drag plates that better distribute pressure and maintain consistent force throughout the fight by stabilizing the built-in drag. An all-new reel foot design with rounded edges prevents wear on line and leader when stored wrapped around the reel foot – or in those unfortunate but inevitable moments when line wraps around the foot during the initial chaotic phase of the strike.

Combine these features – the proven solutions and the new innovations – in an even stronger, stiffer and more robust cold-forged aluminium frame, and you get a fly reel that can withstand drops, impacts and rough handling that often come with saltwater fishing.

Nordic Anglers grants a 2-year warranty in accordance with the Danish Sales Act for extensive defects that are discovered during normal use of the product. The warranty does not cover defects, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect operation, poor maintenance, violence or unauthorized intervention. Complaints about defects and deficiencies must be notified to Nordic Anglers within a reasonable time after the defect or deficiency is discovered or should have been discovered.

In connection with complaint cases, Nordic Anglers will bear return costs to a reasonable extent.
