Sage Shift fly reel

Versatile fly reels that cover the full spectrum of fly fishing – from chasing brook trout in small inlets to patrolling remote mangroves. The SHIFT features Sage’s proprietary SCS drag package with a new and innovative redundant sealing system that effectively resists the ingress of both salt and fresh water. The numbered One Revolution drag reel, which is common throughout the range, allows for easy and precise adjustment and delivers reliable, consistent and repeatable drag. Quickly select the desired setting for your fishing – and shift up a gear with SHIFT.

Based on the versatile SPECTRUM series, the fully CNC machined 6061 aluminum SHIFT combines the benefits of a narrow spool depth and a large arbor design for optimal line lay-up and ultra-fast line retrieval. The concave spool surface ensures maximum line capacity and an extra smooth drag function. The lightweight SHIFT series is packed with upgraded technology normally found on much more expensive fly reels.

SCS brake package

With its smooth engagement and consistent, reliable and repeatable braking power, Sage's Sealed Carbon System (SCS) gives you peace of mind knowing your line is protected. Proprietary, high-quality carbon, made in the USA, handles high pressure and quickly converts the fish's kinetic energy into heat. Custom configurations allow for specific braking systems to be developed for each model, size and fishing situation, and the entire system is fully sealed against water, sand, dirt and salt.

Exclusive USA carbon

SHIFT brake pads are made from proprietary, U.S.-made carbon – the same material used in the brakes of jet aircraft and Formula 1 race cars. Carbon was chosen because it is the most effective material for dissipating extreme heat without wear. Unlike alternative brake materials such as cork, plastic or polymers such as Delrin® and Rulon®, carbon does not compress, degrade, melt or burn. This allows for the development of compact brake systems that are high-performance, stable, durable and fully repeatable.

Nordic Anglers grants a 2-year warranty in accordance with the Danish Sales Act for extensive defects that are discovered during normal use of the product. The warranty does not cover defects, damage or wear and tear, directly or indirectly resulting from incorrect operation, poor maintenance, violence or unauthorized intervention. Complaints about defects and deficiencies must be notified to Nordic Anglers within a reasonable time after the defect or deficiency is discovered or should have been discovered.

In connection with complaint cases, Nordic Anglers will bear return costs to a reasonable extent.
